Doctor Nicodemus

These are pictures of my dog, Doctor Nicodemus (a/k/a Nick, Nicodiculous, Pook). He is a 4 year old chug (chow/pug mix). He is the sweetest dog I have ever owned. He has only one eye (the other was gone before I got him). In the 3 years I have owned him, he has barked 3 times. He loves to make new friends and to have company in his apartment, on which I simply pay the rent and he lets me share the place with him.

Looking out the car window at Aunt Joyous when we were picking her up at the Houston Hobby airport for my 50th birthday weekend. Shortly after this pic was snapped, he jumped out into traffic when I opened the car door, scaring the living daylights out of both me and Joyous. For this reason, the pic is entitled "Nicodemus contemplating suicide."

Pursuing one of his favorite activities, Dr. Nicodemus
enjoys a nap in the sunshine.

Another nap, this time on dad's bed. If there is such a thing as reincarnation, I want to come back as one of my dogs.

Sleeping with my friend Thomas
on Nick's aubergine sofa.
Dr. Nicodemus has taught
Thomas the art of living well!
